On Friday the 29th May 2015, Mr Sadsad accompanied six students on a 'Day with the Notre Dame Folk Choir' in Parramatta Cathedral with both Primary and Secondary schools in the diocese.
The Notre Dame Folk choir is a world-renowned folk choir founded by its director, Steven C Warner. Students where treated to a concert performed by the choir of sixty vocalists and instrumentalists with influences from Ireland, Russia, Asia and Africa.
Afterwards, the students attended various workshops conducted by the choir where they learnt about new liturgical music in a variety of styles, the power of singing in liturgy and how music can express and inspire young people's faith.
Our students left motivated to share what they learnt with the rest of the choir and band as we look forward to many more liturgies in our school community.

🚶♀️💧 On April 7, several FIAT members took part in the Big Water Walk at Nepean River, carrying buckets of water to simulate the physical challenges of walking long distances to collect clean water. The walk encouraged students to reflect on the struggles many people around the world face due to water scarcity 🌍💦 — raising awareness and recognition for communities without easy access to clean water. 🙏💙
