January 21 is the feast day of St. Agnes of Rome, our patron saint. She is the patron saint of young girls, chastity, survivors and the Children of Mary. St. Agnes is often shown as a young girl with a lamb, which represents her purity, and a palm branch, like other martyrs. The lamb may be at her feet or in her arms, reminding us of her innocent faith and courage.
